My name is Charles Richter (Rick) and I have been practicing General Dentistry for 33 years. I graduated from University of Texas Dental Branch @ Houston Texas in 1981. At the end of my sophomore year, I was commissioned as an ensign in the U.S. Navy. Two days after graduation, the movers came and packed up our apartment. My wife Marlene, and I took off for Virginia and seven days later I was engaged in a General Practice Residency (GPR) Program at the Naval Regional Medical Center at Portsmouth, VA. This intensive one year Residency program involved not only all the disciplines of dentistry, but also included internal medicine, ENT, anesthesia, radiology and general pathology.
