My greatest strength is my non-judgemental and compassionate approach with people who are really going through a hard time. I integrate several different theories and therapies because I believe not any one method works for everyone. You are a person going through a hard time and you should be treated as an individual with unique needs. Different Approaches I use: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: This includes challenging thoughts and behaviors and reframing the way that you look at things. This therapy is very much at the heart of what most therapists use. This method is weaved into all of the other methods I use when I work with folks. Strengths-Based Approach: I see most things as strengths. Chances are, if you are reading this, you are using your greatest strengths against yourself. I help you realize those strengths and make them work for you. This is integrated into all the other approaches I use. Mindfulness for Stress Reduction: Mindfulness is a type of meditation. It is now a common practice for therapists to bring mindfulness into their work since it has been shown to reduce anxiety, help mood, and even reduce pain. Paradoxical Theory: Sometimes we are so stuck in how we are thinking that when others suggest things to use we immediately reject them. When I see that you are in this kind of space I work with you differently. I meet you where you are at. I go with your flow and encourage you. I lead you to your own conclusions.
