Beware of these Con Artists! The “affordable” in their name is anything but. $99 just to show up, and then 30 seconds after arriving, the plumber informed me that I needed over $320 of work on my (relatively new) water heater. I stated “isn’t it only the thermocouple?”, and he said yes, but I need to do all these things first to bring the unit up to “safety”, (like change the pressure valve because it’s over 1 yr old, ground all the piping (two pipes were already grounded), but he insisted, and cut the piping to add a joint), all this before he can even begin to work on the real problem with the water heater. I said it’s only four years old and up to code! He said its company policy to do these “safety fixes” first, or else no fix.



Another odd thing is that this person insisted on using ‘my’ home phone to call his office (twice). I said no, and he seemed upset in having to use his own cell phone. Weird!!
