Raymarine is among the world leaders in marine electronics. The company develops and manufactures the most comprehensive range of electronic equipment for the recreational boating and light commercial marine markets. The product line includes autopilots, radar, instruments, fishfinders, chartplotters and communications devices, together with multifunction and integrated products. Raymarine s products are used by leisure boaters in an attempt to enhance their enjoyment and safety whilst out on the water. Raymarine s products are typically fitted to power and sail boats of between 20 and 100 feet in length. Raymarine acquired Raytheon s Recreational Marine Division in a management buy-out in 2001. Since the buy-out, the group has invested significantly in the growth and profitability of the business, with particular focus being placed on developing new products and on strengthening the sales and marketing teams.
