Mr. Chip Whitley built a porch that is now sinking less than 5 years later, tearing away from the house and bringing the roof with it. I now have a safety concern for my family not to mention additional potential damage to my house. Please note, We had two independent engineers and two foundation companies confirm that the issue is not the house and rather because he went with only one 5 foot shallow beam (he chose and hired the structural engineer). When we called, emailed and messaged Chip thinking certainly he would stand by his work and not want this to be a representation of the quality his firm produces, he didn't return any attempt to contact him.



Now I have an expensive fix to bring things back to where they should have been built in the first place.



Please Beware of using this contractor. There are many good contractors out there, don't waste your time and money (and potential future money to fix the errors and short cuts in the project) by using Chip Whitley.



Overall his firm produced poor quality work, took cheap corners but charged a high price and will end up costing me more in the end. Most importantly, he does not response to customers once the job is done and doesn't stand by his work. Mistakes happen, he made a poor decision, but the fact that he didn't return attempts to contact him to discuss the matter or stand by his product is the number one biggest reason to not do business with this company.
