I love their selection of fabric, trimming, ribbons & buttons. very good services and knowledgeable.

Honestly. The worst fabric store I've been in my entire life. I walked in the store and there was a woman on the computer and when I asked her to help me she rolled her eyes at me and slowly got off her computer and took her sweet time getting to where I needed her to go. When she finally got the fabric she went back to her station. She charged me full price for a yard, when it wasn't even a yard and when I came back to return it she said she couldn't change it. I spent a total of $88 on two pieces of fabric. Jesus christ no wonder her store is always empty. Oh and the only people she is nice to are elderly white people.

Don't even think about going there. Yes, they have a huge assortment of fabrics, buttons and all of the other things they advertise. However, the staff is rude and completely uninterested in helping you find what you are looking for. I was looking for replacement buttons for a sweater, and the sales woman (who I asked TWICE for help) pointed in a general direction, then walked away. I will not go back.

I have been shopping here for years and I am very impressed with their service. Very friendly, helpful and experience staffs.They have exquisted selection of lace that you won't be able to find at other stores, also enormous selection of silk, cotton and linens. You will be impressed with their awsome selection of buttons, ribbons and trims. Universal Fabric is a neighborhood store, staffs are always busy restocking fabric and notions. However, as a customer if you call for help, they're always there for you!
