I can not think of ANY reason to hire either of these two. An overall horrible experience.

I was NOT pleased with these two. First of all, their office is way out west westheimer. It was not convenient. Second, the wife said she needed cash only. I asked if a cashier's check was good and she said no she needed paper money cash. That seemed very odd. They made a lot of promises on my case but really they just seemed to wing it. I regret hiring them. If you consider it ask them if they've ever had a texas bar complaint against them. Or better yet just find someone else. Lawyers are a dime a dozen.

Thumbs up to this firm! I came to the Rudisel Law Firm emotionally drained and broken dealing with my husband's third divorce petition. Jessica listened to my emotional outpour and discussed strategies for moving forward with respresenting me. She was very professional, and sympathetic to my case. This firm assisted me in getting this case resolved while being honest and upfront regarding ALL possible outcomes. I arrived late to mediation, and Shawn was there to greet me and assured that things would still go smoothly, and they did! (Thank you) Their staff (Angel) is very professional and always a pleasure to speak with. I would also like to add that they did not badger me about fees, but worked to bring resolution to an emotional journey for me. I would recommend this team to anyone. Shawn, Jessica, Angel, Your firm is the best. Don't ever change your formula it works for clients like me! Thank you!

Consulted with Mrs. Rudisel regarding my divorce and she handled like it was her own case. I would recommend her and Mr. Rudisel to anyone.

I would stay AWAY from this firm! We hired them and had nothing but bad experiences. The drill is the wife will cause all kinds of problems, be late, yell and be unprofessional, and then her husband will come behind her and try to clean up her mess. They are very fond of withdrawing when they realize they can't win or that they can't deal with the situation Jessica has created anymore. My suggestion is to keep looking if you need a family lawyer.

I was referred to the Rudisel Law Firm by a friend. I spoke to Shawn who advised me of all the steps to finalize my divorce and kept me focused on the important things that matter in court. THANKS SHAWN & JESSICA.

Don't do it....keep looking....save your money and your time....because they are a waste of both. All we can say is that looking at their website you would think that they were on the ball and know what they are doing, but they clearly do not, or at least Jessica is not. She expected us to have her evidence or proof of our case ready and available for her. She expected to get paid while we did all of the leg work for her and then did absolutely nothing while in court. She never objected to anything in court and just stood there like she was at a loss. She had the audacity to ask us if we had documents that had already been forwarded to her. She was late and she never discussed anything with us regarding our case. You hire an attorney and entrust in them to know and understand their job and actual do some background on each individual case. We can honestly say that this was not the case in our situation. We would leave messages and were told that we would get a call back, never happened. Our case was never discusssed with us as to what to expect or what was required of us. The minimal amount of direction we received, was incorrect. And, then after one hearing the hand was extended once again for more money for nothing after thousands had already been spent and nothing to show for the lack of preparation and concern for our case. Our recommendation is to continue looking before hiring this husband and wife team. They either have more pressing issues or too much a case load.

My opinion is based off my family case I hired the RUDISEL LAW FIRM to handle for me in 6/2012, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIRING THIS LAW FIRM. I was treated VERY disrespectfully from the ENTIRE firm. I was talked down to like a child, multiple times called a PRINCESS, while being screamed at to CHANGE MY ATTITUDE. So on and so on. Different phone calls and different instances this is how I was treated by the entire firm. I paid this firm thousands of $ while they only worked off a 1/3 of what they were paid. This firm manipulated me, lied to me, basically stole my $ while verbally confirmed that I WILL NOT BE GETTING MY $1500 BACK! (this was shouted at me on the phone). I didn't ask for their phone bill, but was charged $400 when I complained of their lack of communication w/me. The charge, to validate phone calls we made to you. I had to hire another attorney to finish what the Rudisel Law Firm wouldn't properly finish, keeping my $. This firm deserves no stars, but that option isn't offered here.

Mr Rudisel's resolution to our differences, withdrew from representing me. This fact is on public records. Forcing me to obtain another lawyer, which was the best choice made for me.

My user name is quite clear, first 2 initials of my first name and the first 4 initials of my last name. Plus the fact of specifically stating when I hired them, 6/2012, their withdraw 9/2012. This was less than 6 months ago.

I'm sorry, I AM NOT COMFORTABLE CALLING YOUR LAW FIRM AGAIN. When my case exited your office, I FELT MENTALLY ABUSED.

I would NOT recommend these 2 lawyers. We were literally screamed at and talked down to on more than one occasion. The wife, Ms. Rudisel, was consistently late but claimed "oh they know me in that court, it'll be ok." They also made several errors on our case and some questionable calls as well.



Lawyers in Houston are VERY abundant and we should have hired someone that has been a lawyer longer than 4 years. We do have a new lawyer now and they are great and have handled our case competently and professionally. It was the lack of professionalism, mainly by Ms. Rudisel, that was so disheartening.



It's also amazing how anytime a negative review on the internet is placed about these 2 a positive one just magically shows up almost immediately. And it's always a screen name that JUST joined and has only one review. What does that tell you?



My review is based on the FACTS of what happened. Never in my life have I been treated so unprofessionally and I would be fine with discussing this with anyone in person or by phone, I would highly recommend going elsewhere if you need a lawyer, I would also recommend consulting the Texas Bar Association if you have had a bad experience here.

Hire the Rudisel Law Firm! Shawn and Jessica are excellent attorneys to hire for your divorce or family law case. Shawn and Jessica have helped me tremendously and have always been there for me to calm my fears and answer all of my questions during my divorce case. Shawn and Jessica treat you like family and are very professional and knowledgeable. I greatly appreciate the time they have taken to help me.

These two are unbelievable, they don't return our daughters calls they never sit with her and go over a game plan and then they dont do anything in court for her to help her with her case and then try to withdraw from her case since she was not thrilled of the outcome and their lack of preparation to her case. Ms Rudisel showed up late to the first hearing and then the second time she showed up she asked our daughter if she had the items needed for court that were never discussed. When she couldnt get the case withdrawn she then decides she is going to come up with some extra fees to charge her knowing her financial situation and how much money she had already milked her couldnt come up with it then she didnt have to do anything on her behalf. These two are not professional or organized and if we didnt have to give them any stars at all we wouldnt. It also seems as though others have the same feeling and have been bullied by them as well. I would definitely steer clear from these two unless you most definitely want to LOSE your case. If you do, then by all means...hire them. They will NOT do your job for you, they expect to be paid to do their job. Good luck if you hire them.

First of all this is the firm is a joke. They tell you that they will work for you and then they don't do anything. It must be nice to sit back and collect money and not do anything. You have to pay a down payment and then they ask for more as you go, that is acceptable, if you do something. They were late to court, then when they do go to court they dont say anything at all, no objections to anything. What did we pay for? They didnt even discuss the game plan, was not organized and didnt have anything in order. Then, when things didnt go the way they were suppose to, they decide to try to withdraw as my counsel, which was fine and when they didnt get what they wanted decided to charge me more money for doing nothing. Now, I have no attorney and have to hire another one and pay more money. If you know what is good for you, you wont use this Firm. They are rude, dont communicate at all and you pay out the nose for NOTHING. They really dont deserve any stars but it wouldn allow me not to rate them something for doing what I could have done on my own.

I went to The Rudisel Law Firm in agony, my fourteen month old son's mother was not letting me see him. They took the time to listen and address all of my concerns while fully explaining my options. Thanks to there knowledge and understanding my son was back in my arms in three weeks. I really appreciate what they helped me overcome.

The rudisel law firm was a blessing for me. I tried to do my own divorce two times and couldn't get my husband to cooperate and sign the papers. When I called Jessica she told me she could help and she had the papers delivered to him within one week! My divorce took a couple of months to finish and I wish I would have hired her from the start. She is a lovely woman and an honest lawyer. Thanks!

Shawn and his wife went over and above to help me! Being in the Marine Corps made my schedule eratic. Shawn went out of his way to help save me time and money. I couldn't have asked for a smoother mediation and divorce!
