Provided by YP.comAnother review mentioned Sugar Rush's lack of inventory that apparently that person was looking for on that particular day. It seems a little consumer education is needed here. Sugar Rush is a locally-owned, independently operated bakery. It is not a big box store or a national franchise. What that means is they bake on a much smaller scale. It's a first come first serve basis. There is a local deli in Chicago that only uses freshly baked bread for its sandwiches that they buy from another local bakery. When the bread is all gone or after a certain period of time has passed and they don't think the bread is fresh enough, they close the shop for the day. However, each sandwich has very high quality. People have to get out of this big box mentality. There are some smaller establishments that operate on a niche business model. The focus is quality NOT quantity. If you want quantity, shop at the big chain type stores.
That said, Sugar Rush has absolutely delicious treats. If you get there and they're out of your favorite, try something different. They put a special touch on all their goodies.

Provided by YP.comThis place could have potential if all items was on stock. Its in a prime location next to a fish market and the day I went in the items that I wanted was " Still being baked" and it was at 12;00PM on a Friday. Then two more clients walked in looking for a sweet pototoe pie and banana pudding and it was not done. The person behind the counter was too consumed with telling us that they have a Red Carpet Event that she was preparing for that evening.. Thats nice and dandy but your potential everyday clients are important also. Now the cake balls was pretty good and the peanut butter cookies. They didnt have any chocolate chip cookies. Only peanut butter and raisin pecan cookies. I will give this Sugar Rush another try this evening (Friday) after work to see if I can try some items: ( banana pudding or cake slices). But for right now this place needs a lot of work on its inventory being in stock. Oh also the inside decorations are really cute.
