Provided by YP.comSLUMC is a cold and homogeneous church. This is a place where you will not be greeted with a handshake by even the greeters if you don't look like you belong (especially if you are a few shades too dark). I have not had the experience of being patted on my shoulder after I extended my hand for a handshake. If you happen to be of the wrong group, you will be greeted by cold stares at best. No one will make any attempt to smile, say hi or even look at you (except the cold stares of course). They won't ask you to leave but it should be obvious that it will be for the best. This is one of the sorriest churches I have ever visited. Good luck to the rest of you who belong!
It has come to my attention that in a recent visit to St. Luke's Church that you were not warmly greeted. I want to extend my apology and ask if we might have another opportunity because that is not who we want to be. Thanks for allowing us the privilege to know so we can address the issue.
