My sister was scheduled for outpatient surgery at 5:30am. When we arrived we were told she was really she dulled for 1pm. I asked if we should return later and they said no. They took us to a room where my sister is laying down and resting while she waits and waits and waits. I sat on the bed next to hers and you would have thought I committed a horrible crime. They came in, got me off and changed the sheets. So I guess I'll sit in this chair until they decide to finally rake her in for surgery, rake her to recovery, and then release her. I delivered a baby in Germany years ago under socialized medicine and this experience is much worse. It's outdated, feels dirty, the lady who changed the sheets wad very rude, and her doctor can't be found. Baylor/St Luke's has a long way to go before they can call themselves a patient oriented hospital.
