Great historical Montrose bar that is very nice to attend when you feel like going some place that fits that description.

I've been to Rudyard's 50+ times, and loved it, until tonight. While totally sober, I was assaulted tonight by a person "Mark" who was friends with the bartender as well as the owner, "Bill." When the cops showed up, Bill and the bartender (a blonde woman with dreads) worked together to try to discredit my story. Based on the testimony of a witness who does not work there, the cops told me they plan to arrest the perp. However, the lesson remains clear: if you're in the "in" crowd at Rudyard's, you have free reign to do whatever you want, including assaulting other patrons; if you're not, beware of violence.
