So I've been coming to this bar for years. RIPCORD has made some great improvements over the last few months, including drink specials, staff and decor. It's a a far cry from the RIPCORD of the past, but still a great place to meet old friends, new friends and the occasional play thing. You can always find what you are looking for. Great cruising bar...Yummm!

Has a great patio, events like 80s night on Friday's and strip pool on Mondays. The bartenders Rock and are sometimes Rock Hard!

I first visited RIPCORD in 2001. I've seen it go through a few phases. Some better than others.



Fortunately, the new managment has done a great job of bringing the gay bar into a new era of masculinity along with renovated bathrooms, a new paint job, wide range of events, cheap drinks, and friendly bartenders.



RIPCORD is a gay bar usually full of 23-55yo men (Bears, Daddy's, Cubs, Twinks) and their LGBTQIA friends. The patio is the largest of all the gay bars in the Montrose and is synonymous with a fun and friendly bears.



Basically, a laid back bear bar with pool, darts, and great music.

RIPCORD is a friendly gay bar with a very laid back atmosphere. There's a spirit of acceptance for all shades of gay from leather to lesbians, twinks to tranny's and everything in between. RIPCORD is the most diverse gay crowd by hosting a wide range of events from Sunday Show Tunes, Art Shows, Geeks Who Drink and theme parties.... The bottom line is RIPCORD is everything gay.



RIPCORD also has the biggest outdoor patio of all the gay bars in the Montrose, pool tables and darts. TV's have videos and regular shows during the week. An unassuming facade with a very welcoming interior.
