Established in 1979, Ridgegate Elementary serves students in kindergarten through grade five. It is governed by the Fort Bend Independent School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Ridgegate Elementary curriculum includes reading, art, music, and physical and special education. It offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including band, choir and Girl Scouts. The school s parent-teacher organization participates in various fundraising events. It provides nursing and guidance counseling services. In addition, Ridgegate Elementary administers the Title I program. Founded in 1959, the Fort Bend Independent School District offers a range of academic, extracurricular and athletic programs.
