Words cannot express how pleased I have been with the care, love, and learning my children have consistently received at Primrose School of Eldridge Parkway.

My daughter and son currently attend this Primrose location. My daughter is now in preschool but Primrose has been her home since she was about 8 weeks old. My son is 1 year old and also began at 8 weeks of age. I continue to be impressed with the effects of early stimulation and engagement for such young infants, and the inquisitiveness and wonder created in my preschooler by the challenging yet engrossing and fun curriculum.

Most importantly, this facility has become like an extension of our family. I know that when my children are here, everyone throughout the school knows their names, and they are treated with nurturing and love to rival what they receive at home. This is precisely what has kept me at this location since 2014. As a working mother, the only thing that allows me to be effective in the workplace is knowing that my children are cared for, and the Primrose staff are truly the reason that I can go about my daily business without being racked with guilt or worry about my little ones.

It is a wonderful thing to hear your children speak about their teachers, friends, and experiences with excitement and joy, and to see them grow more outgoing and knowledgeable by the day. I could really go on and on about the consistently high quality of the curriculum and care, and the welcoming atmosphere. I always enjoy dropping my children off and I feel that, no matter when I enter a classroom, everything is going to be orderly and as it should be. Unfortunately, I will be leaving this location to transfer to Primrose of North Mason Creek for logistical reasons, and I am very sad to leave our Eldridge Parkway family; however, I’m comforted by the knowledge that we are staying within the Primrose family of schools, and the consistency we have come to rely on will continue for my little ones.

I have had my children in this school for the passed year. I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with the current Director Ms Shelly and her staff. I believe she arrived right before we did. I see her in classrooms, talking to teachers and parents, and my children know and respect her. The school is clean, bright and welcoming to parents and children. My children are learning in "fun" ways, and I receive helpful updates from the teachers in a variety of areas so I know they know my child(ren) and how different they are from one another. If you are looking for a GOOD school, go for a tour and see what I mean.

My son has been at Primrose for 14 months. I started him in the Infant room. As a neurotic mom, it was hard for me to tear myself away from him every morning. Luckily, I had Miss Sylvia's room to help me through that difficult transition. They made me feel confident that we are a team raising my son and not just "babysitters". Their attention to detail is amazing. Then we moved to Miss Monica's Infant II room. With her Montessori background, her knowledge seemed bottomless. She helped guide me through some of the difficult older infant behaviors and corrections. Then, finally we are in Miss Tiffany's Toddler class with Miss Crystal and Miss Shanna. I have no idea how these ladies keep up their energy level to create fun the entire day. My son seems excited to get there and sad to leave. His verbal and sign development blows us away. Also, this front office is amazing. I am always greeted with the smiles of Miss Anna and Miss Maria. They keep the place happy and fun, they consistently get smiles from my little guy! Then I have to give a ton of credit to Miss Shelly, she keeps the place running like a well-oiled machine. Thanks Primrose, I know he's in great hands!

I am a current mom at this school ( 3 years +) and I must say that it is a great school! The owners truly care about the school and took action when it needed it most. We have a great new director and our assistant director has always been great. The teachers really care about the kids and take the time to go the extra mile. The school is ALWAYS clean. MOST of all my little one loves going to school! She enjoys her class and has nothing but good things to say about her teachers. Please take the time to visit the school yourself and make the best decision for your family. Meet with the staff and just get a feel for the great kid friendly environment.

I cannot say enough good things about this daycare! My child has been at Primrose of Eldridge Parkway for the past 19 months and at the age of 35 months is well beyond her peers of the same age at other day care facilities. Everyone I run into (even at the grocery store!) is amazed at how young she is and how well she communicates with adults (she also knows her shapes, colors (in sign language, English, and Spanish), and her capital letters). All of this and fun too – she runs to her classroom each day and quickly kisses me goodbye so she can start playing with her little friends! These things might seem small to the some but everyone expected my daughter to be behind her peers physically, emotionally and mentally. She spent the first 14 months of her life in an overseas orphanage where she did not have the freedom to walk, only heard a foreign language, and was fed only pureed food. She started at Primrose at 16 months when I had to return to work and the teachers and directors worked with me to help my daughter be all that she is today. Each day I know I drop her off in an environment that she will be loved, she will play with friends, and she will learn about her little world. They have helped her down the path to being anything she will ever want to be in life!

Why is this director still working? Because the owners and management believes every thing she says, without looking into the facts. She gossips about all of them behind their backs and then laughs in their faces. And no one wants to stand up to her because no one wants to get on her "bad side" . The employee of the month is a joke! And if you know Primrose Eldrige Parkway you know what I mean. If I could rank it less I would.

Do not send your children to t...

Do not send your children to this unstable school. I was a prospective parent of Primrose on Eldrige Parkway. The Director was rude and impatient. She and a few staff members stared at me rudely from the back office large window, it made me uncomfortable while I explained to the front desk personnel I would like a tour and general information on their toddler program. The front desk Rep. appeared confused. I explained to her politely that I was on my lunch break and time was of the essence, she remained non-chalant towards me as a prospective client. When the director greeted me, it was fake and she appeared annoyed that she had to now work. She rushed through my questions in the lobby of the school. I was never offered a chair or table to sit at and discuss business and she carried this "superiority" persona. She finally took me to the toddler classroom, music was playing, the children and teachers appeared to be having a great time, the Director states to her staff that the music is too loud with an attitude and proceeds to turn it down. My first thought was how unprofessional and I would hate for my child to be in a hostile environment. I proceeded to look around in the classroom and ask questions, again the Direector was impatient and responded to my questions as if they were silly and I was wasting her time. I finally had enough of the unprofessionalism and ceased my questions. I left the school disappointed as I called my husband immediately to advise him that our child will NEVER attend the Primrose located on Eldrige parkway.

I wanted to take the time to w...

I wanted to take the time to write this for any parents that may be looking for daycare or even had these problems in the past.

When my maternity leave was over I decided to take my LO to the Primrose School of Eldridge Parkway. It was a 5 star school and seemed to have a decent reputation. Boy was I wrong! My son attended this school for 1 year and a quarter. In that short time: Food wasn’t even opened or offered to him on multiple occasions, but listed on his daily sheet as eaten. They listed on multiple occasions that breakfast was eaten but we never drop him off in time for breakfast! They tried to put my then 11 month old on a mat even though all the other children in his class got cribs. (And add that they were completely ignoring the safe sleep policy!) They threw their teachers under the bus for any mistakes or lied about them.

Their “secure” door was broken for months (and still broken when I left) even though it left the school wide open (often times with no one in the front office.) They repeatedly made excuses saying they were going to fix it, but didn’t.

No one ever communicated. Teachers were left in the dark, the school was unorganized (and messy!) and the parents were usually last to find out in regards to their children. And most of the time you’d hear different stories/ facts from different employees.

When I brought these things up to the administration I was told: I am a first time mom and they know better, they are friends with their state rep- if there was an issue they’d just talk to her about it, and that they know how their school is run and have no inclination to change it.

So we left. And we are VERY happy we did. Now I just want to put this out there so no other parents are duped by this school. I know not everyone will have this experience, but we did so you could too.

I reviewed the other posts and...

I reviewed the other posts and they were posted some time ago. This school may have started off strong but it is now poorly run.

The staff seems to run around with their head cut off. Sometimes, there are 4 staff members in the front greeting us, sometimes we walk in and nobody is in the front. Also, the director looks overworked since the assistant director was recently fired for drug use.

The teachers are poor as well. They hardly complete the daily activity report and my child has had many "incidents" since she started school. If you were to read the teacher bios that they post in front of the classrooms, you will see that most only have 1-2 years experience. In addition, the teachers don’t seem to care about the children at all. They show absolutely no motherly love and treat this more as a job.

For the prices I am paying, I am very disappointed in this Primrose as I know the brand is excellent but each location is run individually. I moved my little girl to another preschool after 4 months. We simply had enough!
