I have used Prestige Tailors several times and been pleased with the service. Someone always greets me quickly and completes my alterations within the time frame requested.

BEWARE! Very unprofessional business with shady charging tactics. Would not be surprised if BBB Better Business Bureau has gotten involved.



For what you are paying, many have complained and been disappointed with the lack of quality and workmanship. Worst is they don't stand behind their work right or wrong when errors made.



The string of reviews on multiple websites confirming the poor reputation of the business - Prestige Taylors - should tell you something.

First off, the customer service is TERRIBLE. I had to wait 15 minutes upon walking in the store front to even be acknowledged. I then stood in a dress waiting for 30 minutes just for them to pin it, and then another 30 minutes to check out. Secondly, they will RIP YOU OFF. There is no set prices for anything so they will quote you based off how much they like you. I had minor alterations done on 4 dresses and it was $400. Absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention the price kept changing. When I was being fitted Mario said it would be one price, when I went to cashier to check out the price increased drastically. He said it was because of taxes. $60 dollars of taxes? Really? My next complaint, nothing was ready when he said it would be ready. I had to come back FOUR TIMES before my dresses were completed and even then I left unsatisfied with the alterations. One of my dresses even had a grease stain on it. It looked like the seamstress was eating curly fries while she was altering my dress. In a nut shell, do not come here. You will be treated poorly, you will over pay, and your garments will not be completed on time or to your expectations.

When I picked up my wedding dress it looked HORRIBLE!! They had "cleaned and steamed it"...it was wrinkly and flat like someone had laid on it for days. It looked ugly and like a completely different dress. There was still make-up on it and the person helping said it was my make-up, I wasn't wearing any. After being overcharged for the alterations ($500+), as the seamstress told us, I would expect for the dress to come back perfect, but that was far from the truth. I spoke to every person that worked there, including the owner, and the only thing they had to say is that was how it was suppose to look; even though it looked completely different than when I took it in. They attempted to steam it twice and it still looked like crap. They should not offer cleaning and steaming services if they do not know how to properly do it. The alterations were decent, however, there were holes where they had pinned the dress. I had to go 3 times to get the dress completely altered. I would highly recommend NOT getting your dress altered and cleaned at this place. I created this account to just to forewarn all you other brides to be and customers.

They were always friendly but thats because they get rich by taking advantage of you and they do charge based on profiling. They dont have set prices, therefore they do think they have the right to charge you whatever they want. They charged me a different price for the same service. Not to mention they didn't measure me properly three times and each time I had to go back and each time they charged me more!!

I even tested them the last time I went in thinking surely it wouldn't happen again. I purposely told HIM -I didn't have my ticket and he charged me 4 dollars more just bc he could!! And my item still doesn't fit, it just falls right off. Thanks a lot for wasting my money and time.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Firstly let me say that the place is practically a sweat shop. It is very warm in the building, I felt like I was sweating all over my wedding dress when I took it to be altered. Secondly, very impersonal service. It was like a chain of people getting alterations and one person doing so. Finally, the day came to pick up my dress. I was excited. Well, now I'm not. I handed the ticket stub to the guy at the register. He disappears for about 5 minutes and then comes back. He asks me, "What did your dress look like?" then he leaves again, and comes back to ask what color it was. Really! I was floored. So then he asks if I want to try it on, and I did. As I'm taking it out of the plastic wrapping, I notice a line of small blood or rust stains. Then I look at the area they took it in and sewed it back. The stitching looks like my blind grandmother did it. It's all over the place coming undone at the seam. Now, after wasting time and money at this place.. I now have to find ANOTHER tailor to repair my dress. These people profile customers and charge based on appearance and race. Another woman was getting far more alterations done to a much more detailed dress than mine.. but paid a fraction of what we were quoted. This tailor came highly recommended to me by family. I just have to say that I hope nobody elses dresses are ruined. I'm livid.
