I have had a child at this school for seven years. The teachers are kind and do a great job with the kids. Class sizes are small, averaging half the size of the public school classroom. The average student scores several grades above level on standardized tests. This data is posted on the school website. Having had a child in public school I can confirm that the grammar and math instruction are far superior to the standard public school curriculum. Pilgrim students do not have to suffer through the constructivist math that has crept into the public school program. The current math text is very highly rated by conservative educational groups and is comparable to Singapore math. Students are also exposed to advanced grammar at an early age. The school uses the Shirley method which is fun and effective. I'm amazed at how much grammar my son learned in one year. His public school teacher was constantly making grammatical errors which were affecting his speech and writing.
