Came to Houston for work related reasons and looked at multiple campgrounds before selecting North Lake RV Resort due to its proximity and overall appearance/amenities. Gary and Francine (hosts) could not have been nicer. They kept to themselves yet were always available. Additionally, they ran a tight ship and any nuisance campers were quickly asked to leave. We arrived when they first opened in the middle of Feb 2013 and recently left at the end of Sept due to a new office location otherwise we would have stayed until purchasing a house. They have a nice pool, hot tub, and we really enjoyed the lake site as we saw some awesome sunrises as well as moon lit evenings. Would definitely recommend staying here again to anyone looking for a nice campground in the northern part of Houston. The only negative is the train noise as it can be a little loud however it was something we got used to. From our site, we really didn't hear the traffic on 1960. Using the Hardy Toll road in the morning or evening made getting to 610 a breeze. We stayed in a fifth wheel.

This place is managed by a husband and wife. You can sense their arrogance as soon as you walk in the office. If I recall correctly I came across this duo at another other property in SW Houston owned by the same person. Several things were said by both of them while I was in the office that I found to be very rude. Gave the impression that they wanted people to come in there and kneel down to them and praise them for being allowed to stay here. Definitely not my kind of people. It's a shame too. I can see the owners put alot of money in to building this place.

Fabulous facilities! State of the art laundry facilities! Heated pool! Wonderfully spacious recreation room. Loved the firepits and rocking chairs! Picnic pavilions featured gas grills, mini refrigerators and sinks. All the amities of your own outdoor kitchen! Would stay again and again! Highly recommend this place! Management was very polite and friendly!
