Very disappointed, my mother had started the raw food detox program for 28 days. She is diabetic and the doctors assistant told her to stop taking her 20 units of insulin in the morning and go down to 5 units, once all day. That is NOT working, my mother paid hundreds of dollars for EKG and echocardiogram. She paid to SEE DOCTOR MONTGOMERY, and has only seen his assistant! We still havent been given results for the tests, and the boot camp was very confusing to my mother. Her blood sugar has been in high 200s/300s since she started raw food diet this past Sunday. We went into their office again this past Monday, to see why her blood sugar was going so high, even on a raw food diet. I feel they should have slowly tapered her off the medication for diabetes, they told her to stop taking insulin and the pills. I feel it is VERY IRRESPONSIBLE to do that, and we called again today and were not allowed to speak to the doctor, my mother could end up in the EMERGENCY ROOM due to high blood sugar, so we have adjusted the insulin dosage ourselves, to 10 units per day, and sometimes she has to take it twice to keep her blood sugar down! Again, I have been preparing her meals all raw/vegan and her sugar levels continue to go too high! I feel that we should get better care for the out of pocket costs we have paid so far! (Over $350.00) I am upset with the low quality of service and care from Dr Montgomery's office! Do NOT see their office if you expect to be seen by him! He will have his assistant meet with you when you are paying to see him!
