The staff there will be nice at first then make you take an x-ray per visit...the dentist intentionally broke a tooth and when I got back to the office he had done the same to a co-worker. They seem nice but making money is their #1 priority...not you. They state you need more than you do. It was the worst dentist I have ever had. After a major procedure, charged me 3 times the amount he had quoted and had me leave while under medication with the knowledge I was driving home. Have had migraines since the mass exposure to radiation. Don't go there...

I took my son, age 3, to see Dr. Ellison at the Monarch Dental on FM 1960. After waiting for an hour to see the dentist, the financial person, LAURA, called us back and told me that I would only be getting a 25% discount because Dr. Ellison doesn't take my insurance. She told me I would have to pay $220 for his exam. I told her that I was not going to pay that, and that when I made my son's appointment in March, the receptionist said he DID accept my insurance. I walked out of her office and she called me back and said she could "knock it down" to $149. I told her that my insurance should cover the exam completely and that I wasn't paying anything. I asked if she spoke with my insurance and she said that she did and that Dr. Ellison does not take it. I left the office and called the insurance company. I was not supposed to pay anything and they have Dr. Ellison listed as a dentist on my plan. I called the Monarch Dental office back and asked "Does Dr. Ellison take SafeGuard insurance?" and the receptionist said yes. So they are trying to extort money from people that have insurance and should not have to pay anything.

Either stupid, lazy or clueless staff. They cant make an appointment correctly and have wasted my time three times.

Third time this office has wasted my time. They need to hire people that know how to make appointments
