Finding someone not just willing but eager to do a perm these days is rare. My stylist, Tee, was surprised and excited to do one. She loves her job, put simply. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly and offered a choice of beverage. The man that shampooed my hair was friendly. This salon has the most comfortable sinks!

Prices are very reasonable considering the nice ambiance and the pricey location. I also needed false lashes put on because I do not have a steady hand and they did it for free. I will definitely be back.

The nail techs are really friendly. Beautiful job on my mani/pedi. The massage chairs are much better than most salons and the complimentary wine is a nice touch too. Sunny did my up do. She nailed it. No picture was necessary and she new exactly what to do . Beautiful job. She was super friendly too.

The store front looks like a typical salon, but for massages and facials they bring you to another part of the store which is much quieter and tranquil.

The owner and his girlfriend are incredibly sweet and appreciative of your business, so they cater to your every need. From the outside, the salon/spa seems small, but it's actually rather spacious, holding areas for hair, nails and back rooms for facials, waxing and massages.

Believe it or not, Houston, you can get a mani-pedi INSIDE the loop for under $50. And it all starts at Midtown Retreat.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place! I first went to Midtown Salon about 6 months ago and was looking for a great cut and highlights. I also needed a salon that helps clients who have trichotillomania (a hair pulling disorder). At first, I emailed them and got ahold of the manager, Tee. She was very nice and professional about helping me and made sure that when I got there I felt comfortable. When I finally arrived, I met her and a stylist named Victor who cut and highlighted my hair. Not only did I feel 100% comfortable, but Victor also made me look like a million bucks! I am a blonde so it's important for me to find someone that really knows how to make my hair look natural. Even though the process of getting it done takes quite a while (3-4 hours), it's worth all the time and money!

I highly recommend Midtown Retreat Salon and Day Spa. It's a nice little excape from the stresses in life. I always leave this place feeling refreshed.

I've loved this place since the first time I went there! I have naturally curly hair, so I'm pretty picky about who does it, but Chantil always does a fabulous job. She's done my color, highlights, cut, styling and even showed me how to put in my extension's always has good tips and suggestions and is very knowledgeable about hair products. It also helps that her hair always looks great, she has a great personality and is always accommodating. The staff there have always been extremely friendly and professional, they play nice music and even offer you wine...which is a nice touch. I highly recommend Midtown Retreat and Chantil, if you want to look and feel like a million bucks!!

I am happy with the results and have been back a few times. The staff here is very friendly and I have been very happy with the manicures and pedicures that I have received here.

Always a wonderful time at Midtown Retreat. It's the perfect little "getaway." I come here several times a month to relax. Every time I leave I feel young and refreshed.

I recently moved to downtown Houston and was looking for a place to get a Brazilian wax. I tried a spa that wasn't too far from me and was appalled. They attempted to "double dip" in to the wax and it just made my skin crawl. I left immediately and decided to conduct a more thorough research before trying it again. I came across Midtown Retreat Salon and Day Spa and was pretty impressed by the reviews. I decided to make an appointment for the next day and was very well pleased with my visit. Their hospitality was awesome and most of all, my girl Tee hooked me up. She was very sanitary and eased me through the waxing process. I enjoyed my experience so that a couple of weeks later I made an appointment for a facial, massage, and a pedicure! I highly recommend this establishment.

Brittany is awesome! She is the only person I'll go to for a Brazilian. She will make you feel comfortable and do a great job! Definitely ask for her on your next visit.

I love Chantil! I'm really picky about my hair and Chantil gets it right every time. She makes it easy to make appointments so I'm never late getting my hair colored and for me, that's a big deal. And when she does my color, no one can tell I've just had it done, that's how good she is. I have auburn/red hair, which can be really tricky to do, but Chantil always does a terrific job. People stop me all the time asking if it's my natural color and as much as I wish I could say it is, I always have to give credit to my great hair stylist! She's the best!
