The venue itself is beautiful, the prices were all higher than the others we looked at but I'd heard good things about the company and figured the extra cost would be worth the peace of mind of not having to mess with any details myself and the professionalism. However NOT the case, things we were told "would be added at minimal cost or no cost at all" turned out to be at a great cost, and our representative was unprofessional. After my father just passed, our rep chose Father's Day to contact me and say additional significant costs would after all be charged if we wanted to add the things she talked about and she'd like a decision and payment ASAP. Starting anything with the tone of "I know it's Father's Day but-" is not what I wanted to read on my first Father's Day without my dad. The prices of house wine and domestic beer ended up being outrageous $16.25 per person per 2 hours? My husband is a wine vendor himself and we were amazed at that price. That is more than double what we paid our wedding wine and beer vendor and I will be giving them a list of Houston wine and beer vendors/caterers and NONE of them charge anywhere CLOSE to that. Who charges the price of a house bottle of wine to each person per hour? We have not actually had the memorial service yet so I will update with real details afterwards...
