I have been searching for a quality TaeKwonDo school in Houston area for months, I've seen schools that were never opened, not professional, ask me to commit to a year program on the spot without any introduction and the students look like they were dancing rather than doing TaeKwonDo. Master Rick's Talium TaeKwonDo in Houston just opened on June of 2012, it is their 10th locations. Master Rick and his Master (GrandMaster Taek Sung Cho) has 6 schools in New Jersey and 3 out in California. Master Rick is the Head Master for all the Talium schools and been teaching since 1991. When I found his school I felt I hit the lottery, as I walked in I was welcomed, was given professional knowledge about the school and TaeKwonDo. Master Rick offered me a FREE introductory class so that I could see how his quality was. The facility was clean and impressive, family oriented, and Master Rick actually spoke fluent English. His curriculum was advanced and I felt it wasn't a belt factory. I have been now training for 9 months and now my younger sister and younger brother are in TaeKwonDo and my older sister is in Master Rick's Kardio KickBoxing program. Master Rick is very motivating and energetic so his classes are all filled with excitement. I am there everyday from monday to saturday and Master Rick's program gets better and better. I seen my younger sister in a children class and I could see that she is developing her self-esteem, confidence, discipline and her kicks are getting advanced. Master Rick also teaches about importance of school to being a good listener both in school and at home. We are so impressed with Master Rick and his school that I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Talium to anyone who wants to improve their Life values. My whole family has committed to the Black Belt program. I also learned from Master Rick that his students get World certification from KukKiWon & WTF (World TaeKwonDo Federation) which is the Headquarters for TaeKwonDo in Korea. I Thank Master Rick and GrandMaster for opening up their school in Houston.

My husband and I joined Master Rick’s Talium about a month ago and we absolutely love it. In this short period I have seen positive changes in my overall health and I am really grateful. Now it has become a part of our routine. Master Rick’s classes are so much fun. Just like Master Rick, I intend to become younger by the day in spirit, mind and body by practicing Taekwondo :)



He motivates every student to become better and stronger in every class. Sometimes, instructors from other Talium schools come to the Houston Talium to teach and demonstrate – the demonstrations are surely remarkable and inspirational.



The adults class is at 7 PM every day. When we arrive at the class, sometimes if the previous class is still going on, you get to see kids (all ages) learning Taekwondo – being energetic and focused and having fun. Master Rick is really good with kids. His classes are not just about kicking and punching, but education of the mind as well. He also teaches the kids to be more disciplined and respectful to everybody. I am sure all the parents of those kids are really glad to have found a teacher like Master Rick.



I would highly recommend anybody (no age bar) who wants to learn Taekwondo to join Master Rick’s Talium. It is never too late to become a student of Taekwondo.

I have been studying under Master Rick for 9 months now and am ecstatic to have found his school. I was studying Taekwondo in League City and moved to Houston. I looked at a lot of other Taekwondo schools and was not impressed. As soon as I walked into Master Rick's school I felt like I was at home, I knew I wanted to learn from this man. I enjoy the family atmosphere and the personalized attention. If you want to learn or your kids to learn from a true Master I recommend that you come here!
