11-11-09 was our first experience at La Cantina on I-10. The building looks appealing. The inside (including ladies room) was very clean!!!! The atmosphere was pleasant. The employees were kind and timely. Our food came out in a timely manner and was HOT. : ) I got the La Tapatia with a side of guacamole and my husband got the Cowboy. The chips were warm and crisp. The salsa was not too hot (with pepper) - I was sooooo pleased that I could eat it. The flavor of both salsas was AWESOME! I make my own salsa and their red sauce was very close to mine. Two thumbs up on the salsas!!!! The meals were DELICIOUS! Everything was seasoned to perfection. Even the lettuce and tomato tasted like lettuce and tomato and not unripe tasteless veggies. AND the guacamole was not overtaken by the taste of lime. I hate when all you taste is lime and no avocado. It is reasonably priced and we both were busting at the seams. We even brought some home. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE!!! If they have gift cards I hope to get one in my Christmas stocking from Santa!
