If I told my best friend about this place, I'd say: Stay faraway, there are better doctors with better professional care far exceeding this clown. Dr. Gathe runs an HIV mill running patients through like cattle. He has zero professional courtesy and sends his apprentice to tell what he considers your final news. The apprentice I remember was also named Joe and this man showed so much more care for patients that he should have been in charge, not Dr. Gathe. Joe gave me that final news back in 1998 as Dr. Gathe stood afar off and would not show one speck of professional care to excuse himself from caring for me as my doctor. I write this now 13 years later, so sending Joe to do Gathe's dirty work shows that he has zero professionalism to do the care HIV patients need. If you are using him, are you being sent to see an optometrist every month costing you office fees and the use of your Medicare? I have not had to see an eye doctor now for 13 years and if it were necessary my new professional doctor would have had that happen by now. I am sending a letter to Medicare about this doctor and the Optometrist that has set up what they believe to be a clever plan to rip off Medicare and therefore you and the rest of the country.
