These people are monsters.



Jolivette is a scam, and a business that has a richly deserved Better Business Bureau grade of F. Do not, under any circumstances, do business with them.



A primary revenue source for them comes from prepaid coupon deals, with the emphasis on prepaid. If you give them your money before they provide a service, you will then begin the fun game of attempting to get them to provide the service you paid them for. First, they say to call an 800 number to make an appointment, but this number will go to an answering machine. You may leave a message, but you will not be called back. You can e-mail them to schedule an appointment, but you will not get a response. Their objective is to run out the clock on your voucher, not to actually clean. Look around other review sites to verify.



But the above may be for the lucky ones. I suppose because they have to maintain some appearance that their business is to clean things, occasionally, on rare occasions, they will actually pick up the phone and take an appointment. This is where Phase 2 begins. Even though you've already prepaid for the service, they demand a credit card number before coming out, just in case you cancel or reschedule (they fine you if you do) or to make it easier to bill you for ordering new services (which for your convenience, they'll sometimes add without asking). They do very poor work, and less than you'd think.





This, despite the need for tort reform, is why class-action suits are actually a good thing. A few disreputable companies will nickel and dime you just enough where it's worth their while, but not enough where it's worth hiring an attorney. The only way to get large companies to stop this practice is to lump a ton of people together and sue them for the damages all at once. But this is a small company, so a little bit can do a lot of harm to them. If they have taken your money and you cannot get relief from the middleman on the voucher (Groupon, LivingSocial, etc.), try and get their address (look around; it changes frequently, so it may just be a PO Box) and take them to small claims court. You just have to go by court, pay a small filing fee, and they will send a process server out to get these people to come in. Sue them for what they took and your costs. If they don't show, you'll get a summary judgement in your favor. You do not need a lawyer. It's very easy.



By the way, as another example of their ethics, please note the reviews below this one. The earliest ones are universally horrible, and spaced out over time with different grammar and much different usernames. Then you hit the 10 or so reviews in a row that are glowing. They're all posted 1/11/12 or 1/12/12, use a lot of exclamation points, don't capitalize i, and have a username format of firstnamelastnamenumber, like jameswebb2241. Those are left by some agent of the company. This is how they work.



Do not do business with this company. If you unfortunately have received this information too late, do not let them get away with it. They will have to answer for their actions in the long run, but you can help make it sooner rather than later.

This would be my 2nd time purchasing cleaning packages for my mothers home thru living social. They treated me good the first time and even better the second time. THANKS JOLIVETTE CLEANING SERVICE!!!!!!!

After reading a few of the reviews i was tempted to just get a refund without wasting my time. My husband purchased a cleaning for me for my birthday and i was excited. And once i decided to give it a try everything went fine. I had a lady help me get my apt for the following week and my husband said she did a fabulous job. He said she did better than me so they are here to stay, we are now on a bi-monthly contract.

This is my most recent attempt to find a new cleaning service. And i finally found it. The staff at Jolivette Cleaning service is the most professional i have found since moving in my home 6 months ago. They were friendly and precise about there work.

jolivette cleaning is a very dependable company, i purchased a living social deal and actually found the bet cleaning comany there is. Allthough i did read alot of terrible reviews but none of that applied to this cleaning company if u ask me!!!

I have had trouble doing things around the house the past couple of years til my child purchased me a house cleaning through Jolivette Cleaning. they did a wonderful job at helping me clean my home. I had dust that built up in places i couldnt reach and my maid did a great job of cleaning it. I am now on a bi-monthly contract with them and have been pleaased every time.

I very pleased with service Jolivette Cleaning. I like they nice to customer and help me set appointment. The lady who pick up phone very helpful to get me apt for weekend before my party for job. They do very good home cleaning and i will like to use them again. Good job.

I'd say jolivette cleaning was a great look for me and my family! i wasnt able to get everything done around my house after i got hurt on my job and was on medical leave from work for a while. I called they set me up an appt right away, and did a wonderful job!!!

I am another customer that at first thought this was a scam. The first time i called i got sent to voicemail and i left a message then i read a few bad reviews and then a few good ones. but i got a call the next day saying they could do my apt later in the same week and i was very pleased but wanted to make sure my maid would not stand me up. My maid showed up 15 mins prior to my apt time and he was ready to work. He had all his supplies and went over what was included in my package. I have now used them 3 months in a row.

WOW is all i can say. I couldnt believe that people would get on here and thrash other companies that is very disrespectful. Especially since i used the company and i had the friendliest customer service rep and she helped me get my apt set up for the following week. The maid showed up on time and went over everything she was going to do and i never had to redirect her on anything. GREAT JOB!

Jolivette Cleaning was great, their customer service was awesome, i got an appt the next week after i called. The maid came out to my home showed up like 5 mins early and cleaned exactly what i paid for from top to bottom

I was very pleased with my service i received. It was very easy to call and set up my apt. Then my maid showed up on time and ready to get to work. I was so pleased with her service i requested to have the same maid come out for the next apt and she showed up. I am now on a bi-monthly contract.

Just like the many of the reviewers on this site, I bought the Living Social Deal several months ago. I followed the instructions as placed with the deal and called the number to make my appointment and was immediatly sent to a messaging service. I left my name and number and voucher number expecting a call back that day or at least the next day. Receiving no response I called and left another message, then two days later, another. After 2 weeks of this, I looked up their website and sent two emails explaining the situation in basic terms without spending any time describing how their service is so unprofessional. How they will get any future service with anyone...well if you read this site and still decide to attempt to use this company...Good luck! I'm glad I didn't actually get through now reading the other problems people had with cancellations and added fees.



On the flip side, Living Social was extremely helpful and professional when I called and within 2 minutes had a full refund and apology. The rep said they have had multiple issues with Jolivette and are investigating further.

i'd like to add myself to the growing list of highly dissatisfied customers....



after months of leaving messages, i never even received one phone call back so i never even got the opportunity to get cancelled on. i finally called living social to get my refund which they did and she mentioned that there were other people who also reported their experience with this company. hopefully people dont just let it go and call to get refunds, i would hate for this company to receive so much money from scamming people.

I purchased a "deal" through Living Social. At the time, I had gone out to look for reviews of their services before buying, Nothing negative was posted last Spring. Now, I find that the majority of the reviews are HUGELY negative as well they should be. Like others, after many attempts (this should have been my first clue, but I was trying to be patient and understanding) I finally was able to schedule an appointment for cleaning. I would not, however, give the young lady my credit card number - there should have been no need - I had already purchased the service I wanted - I tried to follow up to confirm my appointment and got no response, ever. No one showed, our weekend was turned upside down as a result - rescheduling things so we could clean our own house. No answer from the company after repeatedly calling to get an explanation to the no-show. Please - don't waste your time with this firm. There are too many good cleaning services out there that really want your business, not just looking for a way to scam you for your money - and this does seem to be a pretty elaborate scam when you consider the time put into developing their website

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This deal showed up 3 different times on Living Social and Groupon, and I fell for it twice. I called three weeks ago to schedule the appointment. They told me they were booked for the immediate future so I scheduled it for today. Well, 8 am -- the appointment time -- comes and goes. No cleaning service, no phone call. I should have guessed something was up when they didn't call to confirm two days prior like they said they had when I scheduled the appointment (and unlike other reviewers, they did not take my credit card number when scheduling the appointment). At 8:15, I called the number listed on their web page and got directed to a voice mail box. I left a voice mail and haven't heard anything back. On the upside, Living Social has refunded the two deals I purchased for this company and if I don't hear from them today, I plan to cancel with Groupon as well. Don't call these guys at all. They are completely unreliable.

I bought my cleaning service from living social .com and I was excited to grab such a great deal. when I called to book they were already booked up ,but I wasn't worried because I didn't need their services for a month. So yes I made the appointment a month in advance. I had 45 people coming over for my sons first birthday and didn't want to stress about cleaning . So Aug 6 came around no one showed ....So I called they said they didn't have my appointment . Then Robin said a manager would call me. That's a joke no one called and I called back 15 times. Family flew in and I had to miss plans with them to clean since no one showed. So basically they stole money from me and memories ......do not use them

I purchased 2 cleaning packages thru Living Social for my mother who is ill with cancer and does not have the energy to clean her home. First, they couldn't schedule me for a whole month -- due to the "number of vouchers" sold for this deal. My appointment was supposed to be on Sunday June 26th. I started calling the week before to confirm the appointment time, but no one would ever call me back. Consequently, my poor sick mother sat at home all day waiting for a cleaning service that never came! This is most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They won't even call me back, much less given me a notice that no one was coming.



If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. I am requesting a refund and will use someone for my mother's home.
