CAUTION!! I pay to see a doctor James R Wright and I saw a nurse practitioner who’s unable to understand what means generalized anxiety, I waste, time, money, energy and 1 h at waiting room to heard from a nurse I'm shaking because I was drug addicted and I was a liar!! . After leave that place I sent to then my last annual results done on Jan/18 where she can have found out if some day in my life I took any kind of drugs! She’s unable. She needs to go back to school to be able to attend someone!

I also wish good luck with the next poor people who will be caught in this money-catching trap

My wife and I went to see him about her anxiety problems and he jumped down her throat because she said she has been praying to God to be healed. He said that if she believed God could heal her she wouldn't be seeing a doctor and to come back when we had her history of medications tried. This initial visit was $400 (no insurance). Then when we went to the next appointment my wife's anxiety to see him was worsening every minute of the 1 hour wait until I told the staff we would not be able to stay and wait any longer. It has been three years and we are still being hounded for a no show fee where he was the no show!

Be very careful. He and his staff are not what they seem. He just wants your money. I believe there are some good doctors out there, but he is not one of them. You have been warned.

I left him, he was handling my meds, when he told me he was no longer taking Medicare of Medicaid patients, as they were plans used by those in Washington to falsify his records and take away his medical license. And yes, though I was only on low dosages of two drugs, he refused to help me transition off them.

Stay far far away

I completely agree with wittwit's assessment and review of this drug pushing quack and highly recommend anyone researching this (so-called) doctor read wittwit's review. I really can't add much more than wittwit did. All I can say is ..... EVERYTHING WITTWIT SAID IS 100% TRUE...... DITTO!!!!!!!!

I was handed the same piece of paper to evaluate a mental disorder (very generic and ridiculous ex. "have you ever caused an argument about money?" ... who hasn't? OH.... YOU'RE BI-POLAR THEN, BET YA DIDN'T KNOW THAT ABOUT YOURSELF, DID YA?) and BAM, three prescriptions in hand and shoved out the door. I'm not sure he even knew my name. Not one question did he ask me... not one! If you're in it for a crap load of unneeded prescriptions by all means, this is your man. If you want real help for bettering your quality of life and mental health STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS QUACK!!!!!

Danger! Quack / Flake!

I do not make it a habit to write letters about doctors. I cannot resist publishing something about this one to warn others! Danger! I doubt this "psychiatrist" is of sound and sober mind. And intend to file a complaint with the proper government agencies. He needs to be investigated.

He will overmedicate you. He prescribed so many drugs to me that my judgment was affected. I quit my job after 15 years. And am having a second divorce, thanks to his "intervention" in my life.

He YAAAAWWWNNNS while you speak to him. Very inattentive. I would doubt I would even want him as my cashier at McDonalds. Wonder what kind of medications this 'quack' is on. He is too drugged up to even make judgments. His face is emotionless, cold stone flat lined. The only good therapy he offered was occupying me in assessing him. He does compulsively have his clothes laundered and starched.

He made his "scientific" assessment me by giving me a one page questionnaire to fill out in his office. It took all of four minutes.

I should sue him for malpractice.

I had a scheduled appointment and HE canceled it, without letting ME know. He had to leave out of town on "emergency". I drove to his office and he was not there... Big deal. I just reset an appointment.

I had a 4 PM appointment. I encountered horrific traffic in Houston attempting to make the appointment on time. Being of sound mind, I still continued to attempt to make it to my appointment without speeding or having a wreck. As it turns out, I was an hour late. He had already gone.

His office sent a bill for $75.00. Of course I refused to pay, based on principal.

Because he graduated from UH 33 years ago and he thinks he can screw others over?!? Especially people with mental illness who are trying to better themselves?

His office sent my bill into collections. He has not heard the last of me, yet. I will see to it that I get restitution for the damage he has caused. He has wrecked my credit score.

Any further retaliation will surely be met with opposition and criminal charges.

Yes, I am still very depressed and mad as hell at him and his office. Since I saw him, thank God, I cold turkey’d several medications. I feel better now then I ever have before. And it is because I am not willing to let bastxxds like him and - bxxxhes like his nurses ruin my life by their money grubbing schemes.

I should send a bill to him for his malpractice and report him to Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax.
