SCAM.

I recently participated in the Oktoberfest Olympic tri. I left a review on their facebook page, amongst many others like myself, and the Race Director responded in an ill manner and then decided to delete the reviews all together and not own up to her mistakes. Anyways, there are too many negative things to say so I'll just list some of them off.

1. Some of the worst race directing I have ever seen in my 14 years of racing. They had an unmanned, unmarked left hand turn on a two lane road. They spend little money and attention on safety. Tina's response to this was that she quickly "went over the course at the beginning of the race", but honestly when people are racing at such speeds, it would still be nice to have a large, readable marker of some kind to indicate where we need to go.

2. The bib numbers did not match the participants. Loads of people had to go up to the timing truck and had them manually fix these errors. Also, people who should have won their categories did not due to this error.

3. I Tri Events is very disorganized, ordering their awards way too late and passing out past race awards, telling people to collect them at a local bike shop.

4. Distances were WAY off. The olympic swim for me was just under 1300 yards.

However, I'd like to add that No Label Brewery was the only good thing to come fro this race.

Can do better. Poor customer recovery. Didn't own mistake about insufficient staff day of event and signage for athletes. Changed bike course from map. Missed bike turn. Would have been a great race to end season. Has potential but needs help: swim entrance/exit, hydration stations, consistent/legitimate maps on website and better reporting of results, not to mention signage and volunteers at every turn.
