The Corporate Office is HORRIBLE!~ CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT!!! If you have a problem with ANY of their centers, don't bother calling their Corporate Office! You can never speak with the owner Nat Hooper~ he is never available, & Customer Service speaks very rudely & just hangs up on you! So I would suggest you go anywhere else for your plants & sod!!! I went to location in Zipcode 77024, on Katy Frwy near W. Beltway 8/ Wilcrest Exit of I-10. I wanted to buy a couple pallets of sod grass, & asked if they had a forklift to help us get it on my son's trailer if we bought it there. I was told "yes", so he drove quite a distance to come to this location near my home to get my pallets of grass, then once here, we found out NO, they would NOT use their forklift to load it onto someone's trailer!!!! They said it was against company policy! Had they told us that in the first place, we would've gotten it somewhere else!!! WE WERE FURIOUS!!! SO WE HAD TO LOAD EACH PIECE OF SOD, WHICH IS VERY HEAVY, BY HAND-- PIECE-BY-PIECE!!!

THIS was at 4:30 in the afternoon, so we were stuck with buying it there, because we needed it in a hurry to sell our house. BUT if it had been earlier in the day, my son would've turned around & picked it up closer to where he lives, where there was a forklift available at a store & gotten it from another company, but because it closed at 5 & it was already 4:30 by then, we had no choice but to get the sod at Houston Garden. This was over a weekend, so on Monday, when I tried calling Corporate, all they said was, "Well, that's our policy", and were very rude! They actually hung up on me, TWICE! They made NO EFFORT to compensate me for loss of time & extra work on our part!!! SO I STRONGLY URGE YOU NOT TO SHOP AT GARDEN CENTER!!! IF this is HOW badly they treat their customers, then HOW bad is their merchandise?!~
