I adopted a 1-year old cat from HOPE in March of 2008. I had tried working with another organization but they were not very accommodating since I had specific needs. I needed a young neutered male cat to be a playmate for my 4-year old neutered male cat. The other organization could not tell me about the animal's personality or how any of their kitties interacted with other animals. So they were no help. The pet fosters for HOPE knew exactly what their animal's tolerances and needs for interaction - or lack thereof. I was quickly put in contact with the foster of my cat-to-be and adopted him within a week. I've had my new lil' boy for almost a year now. His foster Dad and I still email each other, I send him pictures of The Boiyz playing, fighting, stalking and chasing each other. This is the perfect organization is you want to adopt a pet and have a specific situation that needs to be accommodated: you have children, if you have dogs, if you have cats, etc. SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PETS!!!
