This is the place on the North side to go for fresh delicious old fashioned like your mom and grand mothers cooked. Also they give you large portions and its pipping hot. Ms. Helen's German-chocolate and her homemade pound cake is so good I eat it slow because I hate when its all gone. On Sundays she has everything from purple hurl peas to okra and tomatoes, southern potato salad to pork chops turkey wings, chicken fried and smothered to that Big Sunday Ham with the pineapple slices. Ms. Helen should start a Soul Food Cooking School. I would be her first student. Clarissa Renfroe
