I am so pleased with the landscaping work that Michael did on my home. I would have to say that another local landscaping company came out over a week prior and fianlly gave me a bid after I had already contacted Michael. He came out, we discussed what I wanted and then he went to his vehicle. 10 minutes later he had a design (actual drawing) i was amazed. We discussed the flowers and fees and within a week it was completed. I still have more to do and will have Michael do the work. michael and Glen are the most charming folks I have ever met. My husband and I hired Michael and his team to design and construct a beautiful flagstone patio in our backyard, complete with fire pit. They completed the job just a few weeks ago and we LOVE it. Great work, skilled craftsmen, polite and timely! Yes a positive recommendation for Green Thumb. I had an old walkway and left the design and implementation to Michael and ended up with a great designed walkway. the work was completed in less time then was estimated and I had nothing to pick up or clean. Thanks Michael

Not only that, Michael Holcomb(President) came to give us the quote NOT any sales guy who was trying to meet his/her sale quota - lots of personal touch at GT! Michael also gave us a design of what our patio will look like after they are done, that was AWESOME :-). Michael & his staff were courteous and informative, they made sure we understood each aspect of the landscaping job they proposed to do. We had no clear idea of what we really wanted. Luckily Green Thumb was able to assess what would be best for our yard and our busy lifestyle and come up with a plan. They provided the best quality plants and shrubs from a local nursery and really brought our place to life. Green Thumb also put in great drainage to prevent any water problems from affecting our house and yard. Owner Michael Holcomb was very accessible and easy to work with.

Well, let's just say Mike leaves no stone unturned! We hired GTSL to fabricate our patio. You wouldn't believe the beauty they created. I'm very picky, sort of a perfectionist and they got the job done just RIGHT. The price was reasonable if you are concerned about that and Mike provided plenty of options to work within our budget. So if you are looking for someone to do your backyard and do it right go with these guys YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

I felt their price was reasonable and that they also accurately assessed and repaired the drainage problems I was having by digging a trench and filling it with bull rock

November 17, 2011 Green Thumb Stone and Landscaping Design just completed a flagstone pathway in my yard and I am thrilled with the results. I got Green Thumb Stone and Landscape's name from Joshua's Native Plants in the Heights. Mike Holcomb came out to give me an estimate and I had to put him off for a year; but I knew he would be the one I called back when I was ready, as he was very knowledgeable and professional. (He knew what he was talking about) This spring I called him back, his crew did a beautiful job putting in a new patio and walkway with flagstone and old Chicago brick. His crews do beautiful work and take pride in their work. They turned a plain backyard into one that I enjoy using. I am so glad I used Mike Holcomb and Green Thumb Stone and Landscape. I was looking for a landscape company that would share my vision and allow me to be a part of my landscaping project. Mike and his team at Green Thumb fit that request perfectly. He included me every step of the way...from visiting the nursery for selection of plants to the rock and plant design in my yard. Mike's company works perfectly for gardeners looking to improve the appearance of their current landscape or those who want a professional to handle everything from start to finish. Either way Mike is a professional and a joy to work with.

Green Thumb did an amazing job with our town home's courtyard. Michael was a pleasure to work with and he watched his team closely every day. We had a vision of what we wanted already, but with Michael's good eye, expertise, nag suggestions it made it all the better. Highly recommend Green Thumb for any project you may be considering. Green Thumb was suggested to us by the local stone company we visited. We called Green Thumb, and were able to schedule an appointment in a few days.They were very accommodating to our calendar. They listened to what we had envisioned, and presented us a sketch to work from, and modify, within just a few days.. It was refreshing to work with a Company that put into their plans, what we wanted, but with their expertise and guidance. Too often these type of companies present a cookie cutter approach. The landscaping was done in a professional manner, and completed on time We incorporated, stone, plants, bushes, and pieces of outdoor art. They were able to do all the work themselves, none of it was farmed out.They stood by their efforts and we are very happy with the results. David and Yvonne Giffin

Mike did an excellent job with our Heights backyard patio. Our space was small, but we wanted to do a lot with it. He drew us two designs at no cost, and started right away. Within 4 days the project was complete without any hiccups. He put poured slab, laid flagstone, incorporated lighting, sprinklers, and plants. A couple of days after the project was complete he called to make sure everyting was perfect, then stopped by the next day to neaten the edges of the flagstone and wash the residue off. He volunteered to stop by in week to ensure all the plants would take. Mike knows how to treat his customers, and does the best work in town. We intereviewed several other landscapers, and Mike's price was unbeatable. I highly recommend Mike and Green Thumb.
