This company's representative, Barry Williams, called me at work yesterday. I told him I could not take personal calls at work but he continued anyway. First of all, he did not tell me he was from LTD FINANCIAL. He stated that he was a representative of my creditor. He very rudely demanded that I immediately send him the full total due ($5000) as it must be paid immediately OR ELSE! When I told him I would call him back, he said - "You'd better! This needs to be resolved immediately!" Then after I explicitely told him I could not take personal calls at work - he called me back today. A little history - - in my department there are 10 people who answer the phone. Two other girls besides me have the same first name. When I picked the phone up today, I answered with my first name (as required by my occupation)

and he immediately gave me my social security number, my street address and the amount of my debt - even though he did not know it was really me (as I never gave him my last name - and he did not ask for it - nor again did he tell me he was with LTD Financial.) I looked up a reverse 800 number on yellow pages to get that information. He demanded RUDELY and very LOUDLY that I give him the money immediately OR ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He told me that he had sent at least four letters. Now I never throw any mail away - so I would know if I received them. And no one else picks up my mail!! Also, I am working with my creditor - so why is he calling me? And why the harrassment and rudeness??? According to the Federal Trade Commission Fair Debt Practices Act, harrassment is illegal as well as giving out personal information to someone who could possibly not be the person involved - as he did this morning. Another illegality according to FTC is that a company cannot harrass you when you tell them to CEASE AND DESIST all phone contact. He has broken MANY LAWS and I am filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission today.

These debt collectors called my home to ask for a woman I do not know. When I told the man that I don't know the woman, he was rude to me and continued to ask where he could reach her. When I insisted that I do not know the woman, he HUNG UP ON ME!!! I called back to ask to speak to a manager, and the receptionist refused to let me speak to a manager. She was completely rude to me and then HUNG UP ON ME!!! Unbelievable!!!
