Knowing little about art history, I started taking art history classes from David Brauer in 1982. I soon was also taking studio art classes. Glassell is an excellent school! I have studied art at Glassell, U of H, and Tulane University. Glassell is just as excellent as Tulane and better than U of H. As a result of my studies, I became certified to teach art in grades 1-12, taught art for 28 years in public schools and retired in 2007 with excellent assessments of my teaching. Through Glassell, I learned to integrate art into all aspects of the school curriculum and was a successful art teacher. I have written curriculum for the MFA and Kid's Way, had my students requested to decorate galas and meetings for corporations and universities, and spoken at the MFA, Houston. I have made great friends and have many wonderful memories of both my teaching and my classes at Glassell. Glassell is an excellent school!
