Be aware! After buying the house, they will act weird. There is no warranty, even the AC was broken down after 6 months. The plumping issues, and etc. They work with the cheapest companies, and once you bought the house they will treat you like sh&*t.



Customer service manager, James was a extremely unprofessional. and unorganized.



Just to let you know, there is only one year warranty which doesnt include the labor. Like I stated, even AC is broken down after 6 months, and they wont fix it, neither the company that they work with.



Just be careful..

Avoid! Gateway homes is a prime example of why families are reluctant to purchase new homes. The have a failing organization and lack of management. After signing the buyers agreement the process goes from Ok to a nightmare. The sales rep in my community was very unorganized and forgetful. He would forget to call the inspectors to inspect completed work so this would delay the completion time, he would forget to order or oversee the ordering of material which caused a huge delay in completion. I had a full time job of watching and monitoring the process of my home. Some contractors that they use to build the homes are extremely unprofessional I walked up one day to see the progress and had a neighbor walk with me and their child and the contractor was urinating in the open area of my home. This is a family community with a school near and walking kids. I was outraged and my neighbor was furious. When I informed the Superintendent and the sales rep, the sales rep said I wish we had money for a port a potties so these guys won't do that. I informed him that my neighbors small daughter witnessed this that my neighbor said he would call the police the next time. If I went to the homes on a non trash pick up day beer cans would be everywhere. The sales reps response was I'll watch these guys alittle closer. So to speed things up my small house with little to no updates took 2 1/2 months over the estimated time to build due to the delays. The house is okay for the price but my problem is the materials everything is so cheap and poor quality that they use. I've been in the house a year and they're numerous cracks and needed major repair and not just touching up and I had a major plumbing problem which I thought would flood my home. The company has one person in the Warranty department that works 1 or 2 days a week only so it takes them a month to respond to warranty request. Had to file a BBB claim to get them to honor the warranty. This builder takes has no concern for quality, integrity or customer service. I would not recommend this builder at all.
