Hoffman Middle School is a coeducational institution that provides academic instruction to students in grades seven and eight. The school organizes a range of sports programs, such as football, basketball, track and field, soccer, tennis, volleyball and cross country. Wow, where do i start, the principal needs to go, here is why..��

HOFFMAN MIDDLE School in Houston, TX

- rate school: [1-5 ] 3 the teaching staff is trying, but no help in sight

- rate principal: [1-5] 0 hide it under the rug, smile like its a Tupperware party

- rate student disruption average: [1-5] 3 bad/disruptive students are not removed or quiet down when a monitor in in the room.

- rate will i teach here next yr with same principal: [1-5] 0 no way

Well were do I start. I want to go to the school board, but who can you trust and not get black balled yourself. I just want to quit, but it has been a life dream to teach. why don��t parents care, Some/Most act like we are the babysitters and they are paying us to put-up with what they can or are bother to do, raise their children!

The mgmt, i.e. principal, looks to be trying to keep her job at any cost.

- Teacher turn over was half last yr. aprox. and teachers leaving before the end of school year is 3+ and looking like another 1 or 2 are leaving within days if not week.

- The principal does not have good communication skills and is of the mind that this is just the way it is and hid everything else. Sweep it under the rug. Put on a nice show for the board, but reality is 20/20 after the fact.

- Some Students are uncontrollable and teachers are being threatened daily, students are disruptive and told to goto the principals office, then seen on the play ground and then a teacher bring the student back and the student was in the office but did not do as they were told and now��.

- One parent showed up un curllers and did not want me to tell them what the other members of the student teachers had to say about their child, and did not want to talk any more..

- Some-Student after one does some thing the others are doing it to, ie one student found out the teacher can not stop them from going to the bathroom [no more bathroom passes for the semester], other student just get up and walk out.

- Some students are seen going to the bus stop even before Last classes are out.

- The metal detectors do not work or are intermittent.

- Another thing, there is a Grand canyon size whole in the lack of documentation of students w/bad-behavior, the current thinking is if there is no record of bad��miss behavior then everyone stays in school and the mgmt looks good. ��Not So!!!��. Where are the days of Getting the rotten apple out of the barrel so the others can learn????

- Lastly last year a child died that went to this school and we just found out this year about it and no counseling has been offered and no notice was sent home.

If you want your children to be safe and not be held back by delinquents students, do not send your children here.
