Century Cancer Centers specializes in the non-invasive treatment of cancer using Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). Our patient-centered approach makes our center a unique facility. In addition to our convenient location, our facility offers each patient the services of a Cancer Navigator. This individual plays a crucial role in patient care, serving as a Medical Concierge, guiding them through the treatment process. Sanjay Mehta, MD is the Radiation Oncologist caring for our patients. His primary focus is providing patients with an environment that is conducive to optimal patient recovery. Dr. Mehta completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas, Austin, where he received AED Premedical Honor Society honors and was on the Dean’s List — Cum Laude Ampla et Magna. He received his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, where he received the UT Southwestern Student Affairs Scholarship honor. Dr. Mehta completed an internship in medicine/pediatrics at UT Houston Medical school, working at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and completed his Radiation Oncology Residency at UTMB Galveston. He was an assistant professor at UTMB St. Joseph Medical Center. Dr. Mehta is a member of six professional organizations and is Board Certified by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and Board Certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology. He is fluent in three languages (English, Spanish and Hindi).
