the plumber that was sent to my house to check sewer smells in the bathroom listened to the toilet flush in the OTHER bathroom and using that as his only guide determined that he would need to tunnel from the outside under the house and replace all the sewer lines. the cost? 4000.00. i called a larger more reputable company for a second opinion and they checked out everything to determined that it was the toilet flange was broken. yes, i know that technically the toilet flange is part of the pipes in the floor but the real cost to fix the real problem? less than half what Dove quoted.
