I contracted with a salesperson after he had visited the home twice. He had the lowest price and the reviews for the company were excellent. The salesman did not include insurance coverage on part of the move so there was a surprise fee after the fact. He did not include washer/dryer connections which was another fee after the fact. He did not include a large trophy mount in the entry of the home which would have normally cost over $1000.00 to crate (the company offered to do it for $500.00). I chose not to crate and have delivered to new home instead of storage. In the end, if the salesman had quoted correctly he would have been the highest of all three bids.When confronted on the phone about these issues I told him I thought the charges should come out of his commission because he didn't do a thorough job, that's what I do with salespeople in my company. I keep my written committments with customers,I pay my people well, and I hold them accountable to do their jobs correctly. If they don't do their jobs correctly they pay for it. The salesperson became hostile and I told him to accept responsibility for his mistakes instead of getting angry. In the end the company stepped in and paid for the washer/dryer connections. I think it's a good company with an unprofessional salesperson. The movers were nice and worked very hard but they did not listen well. Several items were mistakenly taken to storage when clear instructions were given to take to the new home.
