Concerning pointe shoe fittings; We believe that it is very important to give a dancer the best fit possible. We strive to fit by the dancers needs, manufacture specifications and any specifications of the students teacher. It is suggested that the dancer have their teacher check the fit of the shoe before the shoe is sewn or danced in. Concerning defective shoes: Our policy states, we will replace any item which has a clear and obvious defect provided that it is returned with-in 15 days of purchase. Shoes which show signs of normal wear or abuse cannot be returned. Due to the nature of dance shoes we need to have the shoe returned to the store for review of any defect. Unfortunately, defects can not be determined via phone or email. Due to manufactures guide lines, we will gladly return the shoe to the manufacture to determine any defect by fault of the manufacture.If it is determined a true defect, the manufacture will either repair or replace the shoe. This can be a long process but we do our best to get a quick reply. Helpful Tips: The life span of a pointe shoe by manufactures guide lines is about 4 to 12 hours of dancing. This can vary dramatically depending on the type and fit of the shoes, the dancer's level of training and the nature of her classes and performances.Some dancer's will manipulate their shoes by various methods to "Break In" their shoe, which may also cause damage or shorten the life span of the pointe shoe.
