I used to love them... actuall...

I used to love them... I have to say there are two vets, that by my experience, are wonderful here.. Dr. Potter is my #1 star (love her!) and Dr. Zeisloft (she was very professional and wonderful with my dog), I reccommend her as well, hence, the two stars.
Unfortunately, I'm fustrated with them for a number of reasons, not related to the vets, but more with their policies that bring the whole quality of this place down..
1. They are super expensive- never walked out spending less than $300, for regular visits and that's only when she's well.
2. They only give you paper prescriptions rather than approve a simple fax when you buy medicine online. Let me tell you, don't ever let them sell you medicine, you'll pay triple!!! So you get stuck mailing the prescription which takes easily 3 extra weeks to get the medicine... Good thing my pup isn't dying!! - Very frustrating and lazy on their part (the receptionist). - This is the deal breaker for me!
3. I went to another vet another time and they didn't want to cooperate sending my dogs history information... again, very unprofessional.
I guess the big issue is more the receptionist and policies, they are too tough when we as customers are paying for a service... they don't want to ease or be helpful. They used to be great, not anymore. Not going back. You'll get a good vet, and a handfull of bills and complications.

Great place to take your dog

I moved to this area few months ago, just got a puppy and looking for a place for his vaccines and decided to try this pkace. It was a pleasure to pay a competive rate while getting a great service showing so mich care for Bernie my new puppy.

This is the most caring veterinary and professional you could find anywhere in the world. They are compassionate, educated and focused on the care of our loved companions. Because they are not corporately owned, like many of the clinics in our area, they are focused on care and less on generating revenue.



I highly recommend using their services.

The staff is as helpful and as compassionate towards you and your animals as Dr. Goldberger is. She and her staff will take the time to answer your questions and ensure you have a complete understanding of options, procedures, outcomes, etc., to ensure that you are comfortable entrusting the care of your animals to her and her staff. Dr. Goldberger is also fluent is Spanish!

I can't even believe what happened to us at the Copperfield animal clinic! Our dog got very sick and was having major issues so I went to Longenbaugh clinic and they were full- SO they recommended Copperfield animal clinic and the nightmare started!!!!!!!!!! The vet Dr. Zeisloft was the vet on duty! I dropped our dog off at 8:00 AM he was having issues keeping food down both ends. He even had some blood in his stool. I explained to the vet that our dog had been kenneled for 6 days and in the same time frame we had also moved to a new house. So we weren't sure what the problem was. Dr. Zeisloft called me around 11:00 and explained that she needed to do some x-rays because his blood work came back normal and she was very concerned! Well we love our dog and since she was so concerned and PUSHY we did the x-ray. She called me again and said the X rays came out real light and needed to be retaken! I said retake them so she did and called me again saying he had something in his small intestine and needed to go over some options! (BY THE WAY THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE RETAKE OF X RAYS) She went down a list of 4 things to do 1. Do an ultra sound (which they don't have on site so they would have to call a tech to come out and do the procedure! 2. Antibiotic treatment 3. Barium and then more x rays or a scope down the throat! Then he would most likely need surgery to remove the blurred image that showed up in the X ray the Surgery was going to cost 1200.00 and then he would need to go to a 24 hour vet at an additional cost!!!!!!!!!!!! I was already 375.00 in the hole and all the above treatments were going to be 400.00 or more. I told here I need to call my husband and go over these options. In the mean time my coworker said her dog had surgery last year to have an object removed from his bladder and the diagnosis with the surgery was a total of 400.00 and she just loves her vet. She recommended that I call Fairbanks animal clinic and see if they can help me. They said since it was after 6:00 pm I would have to pay a 45.00 fee and I was fine with that. My husband went to pick up our dog at Copperfield and asked for the x rays and blood work results AND DR. ZEISLOFT REFUSED TO RELEASE THEM TO US! The VET was very mad that we were going to take our dog somewhere else and that we were only making more cost accrue! She said she would drop off the x rays herself. I told my husband to get our dog out of that place and meet me at FAIRBANKS ANIMAL CLINIC! He got there at 7:00 PM and with in 10 minutes Dr. Glen had checked our dog’s fecal matter, did an exam and as soon as the x rays got there he reviewed them. He diagnosed him with a bacteria infection and explained to us that it’s real common in dogs when they get kenneled. When he looked at the x ray he said it was just in infection and he was very gassy. He gave him 2 shots and 2 prescriptions and our total cost along with the after hours fee was 175.00. Our dog is doing much better and he's back to his old ways! I just can't believe she wanted to cut my dog open for surgery. I WILL ALWAYS GO BACK TO FAIRBANKS ANIMAL CLINIC! THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEGABLE AND LOVE ANIMALS. EVERYONE THERE WAS SO FRIENDLY AND KIND.

The staff at this clinic were ...

The staff at this clinic were extremely rude and inattentive. The younger vet was very pretentious and unhelpful. At first glance the clinic seems to be good but the vets overcharge way too much for the quality of service and attention that they give. I would recommend choosing another clinic in the area over this one.
