The Coastal Water Authority, also known as CWA, is a conservation and reclamation district created by legislature of the state of Texas in 1967. It offers services in Harris, Chambers and Liberty counties in Texas. The authority provides untreated surface water to the cities of Houston, Baytown and Deer Park in Texas for municipal purposes. The Coastal Water Authority also offers untreated surface water to more than 100 industrial and agricultural customers. The authority is governed a board of directors. It manages a staff of financial officers, operations managers, mechanics, field executive and support personnel. The Coastal Water Authority is located in Houston.
