Everyone was friendly. They accommodated my request for COVID Safety. My issue is that my stylist, although we spent a decent amount of time discussing what I wanted for my hair, even with pictures and swatches involved, still got it wrong. She still made my overall look too bright (even though I wanted to go darker) by adding too many highlights, and the color of the he highlights still came out too brassy/gold as compared to what we discussed and agreed upon. The only thing she got right was the dark base color. And $70 for a haircut?? I understand if my whole style changed and you had to do a lot with my hair, but it was literally a small trim at the back and refresh the layers at the front. That's it! Overpriced. I don't mind paying when I find a salon in which when I leave, I am happy and feel good, but sadly, this was not the case. What saved them for me was overall, friendly staff

The dresser that cut my hair ...

The dresser that cut my hair had 10 years of experience, but I believe since I was getting a discounted service through Living Social, he didn't want to spend time with me. (I thought that was because it was Saturday, but reading other review I realized that it was because the voucher).

I told him what I wanted, along with showing a picture and explained to him every detail about how I like my hair especially the fact that I don't have time to style it on the daily basis.

I repeatedly asked his opinion if I had made a good choice considering my type of hair and he told me it was a good option. When he left me alone a few times during our "conversation", I should have realized that he was not paying attention at all to what I was saying.

When he finished his service he asked me how committed I was to making my hair pretty and like I told him before, I don't have time to style my hair every morning. So he told me that in this case, my hair would not be as good as I wanted.

At this moment, I was sure that he never really listened to a single word that I had told him... but it was too late.

And also, the final straw was that the hairstyle was not even close to the picture showed him.

A week later I realized that his goal was to promote "The Lion King" movie... because it is exactly how my hair looks like, the lion... congratulations! At least I already have an idea what will be my Halloween costume for this year!

In the Village

Located in Rice Village, this is a very nice salon. The decor and the atmosphere of the salon is very relaxing and soothing. They even offer refreshments while you are there. The staff is very friendly and attentive to their customers needs. Stylist and cutters are adequately trained, great place to get a hair cut.
