On November 22,2008, around 3PM, I attempted to fill my car up with gas at the gas pump with my Discover card. The message on the pump said I needed to see the attendant. When I went in and inquired how I could fill my tank up, the worker told me I would have to leave my credit card with him while I filled up my car. I felt very uncomfortable with this because I have read about people who skim credit information this way. When I called later, hoping to speak to an owner who would assure me my transaction was safe, the man who had helped me earlier answered the phone. He responded back to my concerns in a condescending manner. I am not sure if it is his custom to speak to all women that way or if he was just being rude to me. All I really wanted was assurance that my card wasn't being skimmed and an awareness from the business that they recognize why customers are hesitant about leaving credit cards in the possession of an unkown individual. I would not recommend this business .
