I researched many electric companies before I chose Champion. What’s cool is they email you a weekly usage report so you can compare your usage and adjust your thermostat accordingly. After a lot of research, I chose Champion because this company provides wonderful customer service at a very fair and low cost. Compared to all the other companies I looked at, Champion had the lowest minimum kWh usage and the lowest fee for going under that minimum kWh usage. Other companies advertised a lower energy rate but had higher fees for not reaching a minimum kWh usage, so Champion actually ends up costing me less! Also, every time I call I reach someone at customer service right away, and they have been very nice and helpful on the phone. REVIEW : I was a first time apartment renter / bill payer and I chose Champion based on the several good reviews I saw on the company. So far I have been satisfied with the service and communication. After signing up, I have had to make several calls to verify online account information, and the customer service was great! They answered all of my questions and responded positively to any concerns. Their online web client is slightly clunky when trying to change info, but a quick chat with their reps fixed all issues I had and the account changes were immediately viewable. I have signed up for ACH transfer payments, and that went as smooth as possible, being deducted from my account next day! As far as rates go, The company seemed to have some of the lowest in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I locked in for a 12 month plan, but they had variable rate plans as well. I will see how I feel come renewal time, but so far so good! I would definitely recommend Champion to anyone looking for energy services in the DFW metro. My experience with Champion has been excellent. They wouldn't be the JD Power rated Top electricity provider 4 years in a row if they weren't doing a lot of things right. Here's been my experience: 1.) The weekly power tracker emails are easy to understand and extremely helpful. 2.) Whenever I have questions, the customer service people are pleasant and easy to work with. 3.) They have a referral program where you get a 25 dollar bill credit if someone uses your referral id when signing up. Please use mine. Though the reviews have all been good, the main reason I chose Champion Energy is because unlike other companies that I called the quality of service was amazing. Having been with the company for a few months now, I know I made the right decision. For the last few months my energy bill hasn't been over $50.
