I got excellent help from an Ace salesperson. I got the right part and the instructions and the repair was done in less than 10 minutes. Thanks.

Let me first say that my husband and I have been loyal customers at Chamberlin Ace Hardware store for years. After he got sick, I continued to purchase our Randy Lemmon's Fertilization Schedule supplies and other items from them. On yesterday I visited the store to purchase some fire ant killer and when I got to the cashier the price was different from the price that was listed under the product. A salesperson was called to check the price and it was listed as I stated. The salesperson then got the owner and they took about 10-15 minutes (bad customer service) looking for the item that the listed price represented. They finally found the item and the owner tried to tell me I could purchase that item. I told her no that's not what I wanted and ask if I could get the price that was listed under the item I wanted and she told me I couldn't. To be fair to her, she was also trying to say something about someone moving the price. That statement went completely over my head because it had nothing to do with me. I then informed her that I have been a loyal customer for years and was she willing to lose a loyal customer for about $3.00 and I was basically told yes. This is really about the principle as a loyal customer not the $3.00 difference in price.
