I currently live in Dallas but I’m getting married and moving to Houston after marriage so I decided to have my wedding ceremony & reception in Houston. For my wedding, I started searching for a nice beauty Salon in Houston to do my hair and makeup. Since I don’t know the city very well and I had no idea about the beauty salons in Houston, I started asking my friends and my wedding planner and some of them referred me to Cara Dulce Makeup Salon. So I called and booked a trial session with them ($75 for trial) a few weeks before and then my wedding planner confirmed my appointment with them again two days before the trial session.

So I flew all the way from Dallas to Houston on a weekend, rented a car wondering in Downtown Houston to find their place. After I finally got to the salon, I noticed that the door is locked and nobody is there! I called Sara (their makeup artist) on her cell phone, she picked up and I told her that I had a trial session appointment with her today at 11:00am. She said something about sending her an email so that she can contact me later!!! So I explained myself again that my anointment with her is right now and I’m standing in front of their salon door. Guess what, she said that she had totally forgotten about the appointment!! But instead of trying to reschedule or do something about it, she said that she is in a wedding party right now and all of the sudden she decided that my voice is breaking up and she can not hear me anymore!!! And then hanged up on me!

I tried to call Julie -the other owner- but she didn’t pick up. I left several messages and nobody ever called me back. So I flew back to Dallas the same day wondering about the time and the flight and rental money that I have wasted. The way they handled this situation was really unprofessional and rude but I’m glad they did this to me on my trial session day not my wedding day!! Now I know that they are not trustworthy and reliable to work with anyway and booked my appointment with another place.
