HORRIBLE NEVER AGAIN. CALLED THEY PROMISE TWO OR THREE PEOPLE WOULD WORK ON MY HEAD NOPE AFTER SHE TOOK MY MONEY SHE STOP BEING NICE AND SLOW AS HECK I MEAN 10 HRS WHEN YOU HAVE TWO PEOPLE OFF AND ON WORKING ON YOUR HEAD THEN MY WORKER START BLASTING HER ECCENTRIC MUSIC IN THE SALON I MEAN LOUDLY I GOT A MIGRAINE REALLY DISTASTEFUL I ASKED FOR SOMEONE TO HELP HER SHE SAID NO THE LADY WAS NOT WORKING THE MANAGER IS RUDE AS HELL THEY WANT MONEY UPFRONT BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEIR SERVICE IS TERRIBLE VERY UNORGANIZED HONESTLY SPEAK IN FRENCH ABOUT YOU PLEASE CHOICE ANOTHER PLACE IT'S NOT WORTH IT.. SHOULD BE CALLED BROWN BOO BOO NOT SUGAR! !!

I really enjoy the professionalism and work ethics at Brown Sugar Braiding on Kirby. I have been going to the braiding salon for 2 years and always please with the final result. My hair last a long time and my natural hair has grown tremendously. If you want great quality braids, try Brown Sugar Braiding on Kirby.

Brown Sugar Braids does excellent work, however, they do have their downfalls! When I initially called to make an appointment and inquire about pricing, the lady told me that mid back was $180! Once I got there, my mid back became my shoulder for $180! I ended up paying $220 to get the actual length that I wanted! Another lady was told mid back for $180 as well, and she ended up paying $220 also! They're fully staffed and the vast majority of the time at least two to three people will be working on your head depending on how many clients they have that day! I would go back again as long as they are accurate with their pricing and the length of that specific price! Make sure when you get there, tell them exactly what they told you over the phone and explain to them where mid back is because that's where they get over on people! Be adamant about it or else you'll either end up going somewhere else, or spending more than you anticipated!

If you want any hair left after you take your braids out, don't go here. They are unorganized, slow, and late for appointments. Braids were way too tight. The salon has an unpleasant odor and roaches.

I went to Florence to twist my little sisters hair. It was a normal, simple two strand twist haor style with extensions added. My sister is 11. It was awful and my sister was in tears and ashamed. She charged 110$. I spoke to the owner and she said the woyld make sure florence or herself redid the hair the next day. Thr next day i didnt get a call until 6pm. Went to the shop amd she rerused to redo the entire head, she only wanted to redo the front. I refused to allow her to get away with my money. She then decided she wouldnt do any of it and gave me a refund and took down her entire hair but didnt give me the money back for the hair i paid for. At this point i didnt have the energy to.argue with them. Of she needed the $10 that bad she can keep it. I then went to Classic Hair braiding and was very pleased. Do NOT USE BROWN SUGAR. Theyve messed my aunts hair up years ago as well

Several different people were assigned to braid my hair (at different times). 4 people braided my hair, and most of the time I had one braider at a time. It took 10 hours for freestyle braids. While I was there, they told someone it would take 4-5 hours for free style braids. In the past, I have had more than 1 person braid my hair at the same time, but those braiders worked together to make sure my braids looked the same.



This is the 2nd time Brown Sugar has braided my hair poorly. I mistakenly believed if I told them what I wanted ... They could correct the problems.



The braids on the left side of my head are bigger than the braids on the right side.



I bought longer hair (22") so I could have longer braids. The braids are shorter on one side. Each time they changed the person who was braiding my hair ...I stopped them and reminded them of my preference for longer braids, but that did not help.



After paying a lot of money and sitting for 10 hours with only 1 braider most of the time.... I'm done!



It's sad to say they are more focused on the quantity of business, less focused on the quality of work and customer service. The braid shop is in a convenient location for me, after this experience, I will have to look for another braid shop.

This is my 3rd time going to the brownsugar off of kirby and they did a great job every time i go. This time i went for some cornrows and she did a wonderful job on my hair. i get a lot of comments on the way it looks and people asking where did i go. I would recommend the braiding shop to anyone!!!! THE BEST!

I STOPPED IN AND ASKED IF THEY COULD BRAID MY HAIR MY HAIR IS SHORT AND WAS TOLD YES A WEEK LATER WENT TO GET MY HAIR BRAIDED WORST EXPERIENCE EVER MY HAIR LOOKED LIKE IT WAS MONTHS OLD THE SAME DAY I SAID I WANTED MY HAIR BRAIDED TO THE END MY HAIR WAS UNEVEN AND LEFT LOOSE HAD TO WATCH A BABY WHILE THEY BRAIDED MY HAIR ONE WOMEN WENT TO THE BATHROOM IN A TRASH CAN AND DID NOT SHUT THE DOOR HAD TO HEAR THEM TALK ABOUT THE PARTY FROM THE NITE BEFORE AND THEN THE ONE WHO WENT TO THE BATHROOM IN THE TRASH CAN WANTED TO FIGHT WITH ME CAUSE I WAS UPSET ABOUT MY HAIR CALLED AND CALLED FOR THEM TO CORRECT MY HAIR SAW ONE OF THE WOMEN IN THE STORE AND SHE SAID MY HAIR WAS NOT RIGHT WENT BACK AND THEY STILL DID NOT BRAID MY HAIR CORRECT ONLY THE FRONT DID THEY REBRAID TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT THIS PLACE POSTING MY EXPERIENCE EVERY WHERE HAIR BRAIDING COST TO M\UCH MONEY FOR THE SERVICE THEY GIVE RUDE LOUD WHEN I WENT BACK THEY USED SOME OLD HAIR NOT WHAT I PAID FOR SIX WOMEN DID MY HAIR AND NOT ONE OF MY BRAIDS ARE THE SAME NOT ONE



WHEN YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT THEY RETURN GIVE GOOD SERVICE AND THEY FLOURISH YOUR BUSINESS WITH MORE CUSTOMERS THIS IS ONE PLACE I WILL NEVER GO TO AGAIN

My first initial visit was in April and as of June my braids are still in tact, exceptional job.
