Brookside Funeral tried to rip me off.

The funeral director told me that a regular sized casket would fit so I bought an online casket which was $4000 less than the funeral home's casket. When the funeral home received my online casket, they told me it was too small and it would not work. I returned the online casket and went to see the funeral home's casket he ordered for me the next day. When he showed it to me, I asked to see the inside so he opened it and I pulled out a tape measure and measured it. IT was EXACTLY the same size as the online casket which was $4000 less. So the funeral director lied to me so I would have to pay him the extra $4000.

I threatened him and of course he quickly took his casket off my bill and I again went and picked up the online casket.

DO not do business with Brookside Funeral Home. They are dishonest. Buy your casket online like I did and save $4000.

in one word. Terrible! car salesman. all about playing on your sadness and racking up as many charges as they can. was offered 10% off then they when hospital/hospice was mentioned said no sorry offer not good because it was imminent. find a funeral negotiator or consultant so much cheaper and easier. if you have plots all you have to do is open/close at brookside go somewhere else for everything else. you can even sell the plots. so many choices in Houston why not find a place that actually cares about you and is willing to work with you. not a time for bait and switch. called back and said if prepaid on both we could get 900 off each which is still ess than the 10% you would get if you walked in off the street.

Was told when I bought a marker from Brookside that they would take care of it...my son's marker is deplorable...thanks Brookside for the deception and lying

I ask a represenative of Brookside if it was ok to plant a flower bed on top of my families grave and was told that that was not permitted and would be distasteful...so I inquired why they planted one on top of my brother-n - laws grave...no response.
