Built a grandfather clock in 1980 when I lived in Pa. Brought it to Houston in 1982 and it ran for maybe 10 years at which time it stopped. Due to family illness problems the clock sat there until my retirement this year (2014) at which time I took it to Bissonnet clock repair. He did a complete overhaul of the works while I spruced up the case and re-coated the walnut with Tung oil. The clock now looks great and runs great. I have been running it for a few months and it keeps time to within a minute a month. Pretty good I think for an almost 35 year old German movement. Good work by the Bissonnet clock shop.
