Provided by SuperpagesMy experiences at RG have been sporadic - the one on Alabama has always been positive, but twice at City Centre I was served food with gluten in it after ordering my food gluten-free. Both time the food arrived without the card labeling the food gluten-free, and like a fool, since I clearly ordered gluten-free food, I ate it anyway. Never again! The cashier appeared to have no idea what I was talking about when I asked for Gluten-Free pizza in the first place, AND the pizza they sent to my table had cheese on it when I asked them not to put it on there. In fact, I think from now on I"ll just stay away from the City Centre location. Be careful if you are food allergic - Ruggles Green is NOT as safe as it claims to be! Both experiences left me sick as a dog for about two days!

Provided by SuperpagesI'm in love. The pizza and hempanadas are wonderful. I was especially impressed by the pizza. Even with smoked applewood bacon on it, it was still light and crisp. Not at all heavy or greasy.

Provided by SuperpagesDanger! A Ruggles Green employee got me sick! On12/28 I went to Ruggles Green and had the Hempanadas. I am gluten intolerant,as many people are who would go to a restaurant that advertises to be a healthy green restaurant. Upon ordering the Hempanadas, which were listed as having hemp flour as the crust, I asked the server 3 TIMES if wheat flour was in the mixture and impressed upon her that I was ALLERGIC to wheat. I was assured all three times that the ingredients only contained hemp.In less than 2 hours I was ill. While the owner may recycle waste, donate carbon credit to charity for a tax break, and is going to use electric cars soon for deliveries, he might choose to educate his employees on the dangers of not having thorough knowledge of the ingredients in the food on the menu. This is an extremely dangerous and unhealthy place to eat. If you open a so called healthy place please teach your staff about dangerous food.If you eat healthy, you shouldn't eat here; staff is ignorant.

Provided by SuperpagesI am a person that eats out 8-9 meals a week. I first went here on a business lunch and was a little worried that the food would be to healthy and weird. The food was awesome. Ruggles Green has found a way to make normal, great food that is healthy. I also loved their green concept. While there, I talked to an owner that told me how they recycle all of their waste, recycle their oil and donate the carbon credit to charity, and are going to use electric cars for food deliveries. It is so nice to finally see a Houston restaurant care about the environment--while serving really great food. I highly recommend this place to anyone. I also can not wait for the pizza oven to open. I love unique pizzas and it looks like Ruggles Green has them. Check them out!
